TICHENOR Chadwick Scott, 40, died Sat., Oct. 7, 2017 in Lexington, KY. Born Dec. 19, 1976 in Tucson, AZ, he was the son of Lanny Dalton and Sherry Sailors Tichenor, of Charlotte, NC. Mr. Tichenor was a 1995 Lexington Catholic High School graduate, attended West Point Military Academy and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He was attending Eastern Kentucky University to secure a Master's Degree in Homeland Security and National Intelligence. As an active U.S. Army combat veteran, he served in the Iraq Freedom Conflict. He had previously been employed by Chase Bank. Survivors other than his parents include a sister and brother-in-law, Tamara Joy Morgan and Edward Robert Morgan; and nieces, Adalyn Joy Morgan and Elise Rose Morgan, all of Charlotte, NC; maternal grandmother, Frances Yearous and her husband Dr. Joe Yearous, of Tucson, AZ; his maternal aunt, Sandra McKinley and cousins, Holly Peters, Kristy Shepard, and Jenny Kaczmarek; all of Atlanta, GA; maternal aunts and uncles, Richard and Tamsin Sailors, Tucson, AZ and Rusty and Lesa Sailors, San Diego, CA; paternal aunts and uncles, Tom and Shirley Siler, Beaver Dam, KY and Linda Fuson, Wilmington, NC; and cousins, Mark Siler, Jeffery Siler, Shannon Freelander, Alicia Womack, Sam Sailors, Rustin Sailors, Shealyn Sailors, Elliott Sailors, Ben Sailors, Callie Sailors, Will Sailors, John Sailors and Maddie Sailors. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents John and Frances Tichenor; and maternal grandfather, Sam Sailors. A memorial service will be held 4:30 pm Wed., Oct. 11, at Kerr Brothers Harrodsburg Rd. by Chaplain Rusty Sailors. Visitation will be 2 pm Wed. until the service time at funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to IAVA.org (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America), there is an "Honor Roll of Donors" which could be donated in Chad's name.
