Courtney Bivins Obituary

BIVINS Courtney Clifton, 27, died Sunday November 11, 2018 in Kansas City. Courtney was born in Jellico, TN on August 31, 1991 and resided in Kansas City, MO. She is survived by her wife, Megan Bivins of Kansas City; mother Sherry Clifton Morgan, father CM Jack Morgan, Jr., brother Chris Clifton, all of Lexington; two sisters Lauren Badgley and Jenny Travis of Chattanooga, TN; brother Hunter Morgan of Lexington; and her beloved dogs, Charlie Brown & Duke. Courtney graduated from Lexington Christian Academy in 2009 where she was an outstanding student and integral member of the basketball team. Courtney received countless academic and athletic awards yet was most proud of winning the state championship her sophomore year. She went on to play at WKU and Campbellsville where she graduated with a Bachelors in Biochemistry. She practiced as an RN and was completing her doctorate degree in Kansas City to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Services will be held at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd., Lexington 40515 on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Visitation from 10 AM to 1:30 PM with funeral services immediately following. Inurnment will be at the Lexington Cemetery, officiated by Brewster McLeod. www.milwardfuneral.com
