Daniel Jordan Obituary

Daniel Joseph Jordan

June 13, 1934 - November 20, 2024

Clearwater, Florida - Daniel (Dan) Joseph Jordan; Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather, and Friend sadly passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the age of 90. He left behind 2 daughters Devon Kobold and Dana Jordan, son in law, Kyle Kobold, and 2 grandchildren Alex and Abby Kobold. Daniel was born in Paris, Kentucky on June 13, 1934 to William and Catherine Jordan. He spent time in the Air Force but eventually started a career in finance. He worked at Kentucky Finance where he met his wife, Donna Jordan who we lost September 22, 2023. Dan and Donna had a daughter, Dana while living in Lexington before moving to Dunedin, Florida where they had their second daughter, Devon. Daniel continued his work in finance working at Sun Bank and then Barnett Bank. Dan's career goals took a turn and he went into commercial real estate where he worked at FI Grey & Son, Inc. for many years before retiring. Dan was involved in his community, volunteering for the Republican party of Pinellas County and was a member of Countryside Country Club for many years. He learned to fly a small plane at Clearwater Executive Airport. He enjoyed golf, politics, horse racing, and was a season ticket holder to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for over 15 years. Dan always took care of his family, and was a loyal friend. He was a positive person who didn't let anything get him down, with his favorite saying being "onward and upward". He led a long life with so many accomplishments. He was loved deeply and will be missed beyond words.

Sisters Devon and Dana - condolences to you both on your dad´s passing. What a blessed and abundant life he had in his 90 years with you both being his greatest gift. I pray that you both find peace knowing he´s finally reunited with your mom and God, right where he wanted to be. Be comforted knowing he will always be with you and watching over your family. Hugs to you both. Xoxo

Condolences to both Dana and Devon. Dan and Donna go back over 40+ years and first started when my husband (RIP) worked with Dan. The girls are my God-children. One of the funniest times with Dan, was when he, my husband and I were playing golf, (I was not a good golfer) and I made an unbelievable shot, with the help of two trees and the bridge approaching the hole. We all laughed so hard, it brought tears to our eyes. I will certainly miss him as I do Donna. Love & blessings, Julie

Devon and Dana
Was so very saddened to read of your Dads passing .
Through my husband Harold "Buck" BUCHIGNANI, I´ve had the fortune of knowing your parents for quite some time.
We´ve shared many wonderful times together. He loved bragging on both of you!
I always talked with your Dad on his birthday, which he always thanked me for remembering. I will miss him!
Most fondly,
Laurie BUCHIGNANI
