David Wayne HELLARD

HELLARD David Wayne, P.E., 55, Lexington native, passed away June 29, 2011 after an extended illness. Survived by wife, Almayanett Graciela Hellard, his "Panamanian Princess"; his mother, Jennie Hellard; uncle, A.B. Hellard; brothers, Robert (Norma), and Bill, both of Lexington; step-son, Ryan Woodall (Amanda) of Springfield, MO; nephew, Dr. R. Scott Hellard (Laura), Decatur, AL; niece, Bethany Hellard; and a very special friend, Jeff Hogue, as well as many other special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis M. Hellard. David was a 27 year employee of Associated Electric in Springfield, MO, where he was Principle Performance Engineer. A graduate of Tates Creek High School and the University of Kentucky School of Engineering, he was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. David was a member of National Avenue Christian Church in Springfield, MO. He was an avid sportsman, boater and model builder and collector. Visitation will be held 5:30-8pm Fri, July 1, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. A crypt side service will be held 10am Sat, July 2, at Lexington Cemetery Mausoleum with Dr. Brad Walden officiating. Pallbearers will be Juan Berenguer, Ches Brandon, A.B. Hellard, Dr. R. Scott Hellard, Jeff Hogue and Ryan Woodall. David requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O.
