Delphord Lee Nichols Sr.

Delphord Lee Nichols Sr., 64, of West Morrison, Wilmore, husband of Lucy Halderman Nichols, died Sunday July 20, 2003. He was the son of the late Leslie Gobel and Rosa Kathryn Fogle Nichols. He was a retired self-employed carpet layer. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Lexington. Survivors include one son Delphord (Mary) Nichols Jr., three daughters Gina (Steven) Gray, Sandra (Jeff) Anderson, Angela Nichols, all of Jessamine County. Additional survivors include grandchildren Amy Anderson, Kellye Gray, Matthew Nichols, Lakin Mulcahy, Kendall Anderson, all of Jessamine County, two step-grandsons, Joshua Custer, and Dylan Fynquist, both of Iowa, A special friend Edward Latham, Monticello. Services will be 11:00 Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Kriesch officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmore Cemetery. Bearers will be James Thomas Halderman, John Halderman, Danny Hogue, Bob, James, and Barry Humphrey. Visitation will be Monday 5 - 8pm at the funeral home. Guest book at Legacy.com.
