Ellen Mitchell Obituary

Ellen Krohn Mitchell, 76, 321 Fithian Avenue, Paris, widow of William Brown Mitchell, Sr., died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at her residence. She was born June 16, 1926 in Ocean Springs, MS, daughter of the late Sherman and Caroline Augusta Carco Krohn, graduated from Biloxi High School, and was a member of First Christian Church, Paris. She is survived by two daughters, Paula (Ed) Marcum, Sally M. Puckett, both of Paris; a son, William Brown (Cindy) Mitchell, Jr., Frankfort; two grandsons, Robert Lee (Tracey) Puckett, Paris, Neil Triplett, Salt Lick; four granddaughters, Keri Mitchell Marcum, Rochester, MN, Erin Elizabeth (Chris) Livingood, Paris, Allison Kaye (Michael) Smith, Paris, Kayla Rae Triplett, Frankfort; five great-grandchildren, Victoria Paige Puckett, William Chase Puckett, Jason Edward Livingood, Kayla Livingood, Alex Livingood; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Fitch, Versailles; and two nieces, Bettye Joe Florence and Patsy Sue Herzog; and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Bell. Interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Robert Puckett, William B. Mitchell, Jr., Chris Livingood, Ron Watts, Michael Smith, Ed Marcum, and Clyde Parsons. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Tadarro Richardson, R.J. Nixon, Jr., William Fryman, Harry Speakes, Jr., Woody Graves, Keri Marcum, Erin Livingood, and Allison Smith. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
