How saddened I was to hear of your great loss. I was a patient of Dr. Glenn at Duke when I was just a few days old. I was born with bladder extrophy and Dr. Glenn saved my life. I followed him to New York, Georgia and Kentucky. I first met him at a few days old in 1976 and last spoke with him in January 2009. I could tell you countless stories of my experiences with Dr. Glenn. He always took exceptional care of me and I will always be grateful for him. I loved Dr. Glenn and will miss him dearly. May all the wonderful memories sustain you through this time.

Dear Mrs. Glenn

I just learned of Dr. Glenn's demise, and I am profoundly sorry because this world lost a great man. Dr. Glenn was a friend and a most excellent physician who saved my life. While he was at Emory, and after he had retired from the surgical suite, he returned to perform a miracle for me.

Dr. Glenn was our National Consultant for Urology when I was a resident in the '70's at Wilford Hall Medical Center. I found him to be a brilliant urologist and a very warm-hearted human being. It never ceased to amaze me that each year he came to Wilford Hall, he remembered our names, our wive's names and even the names of our children. Years later, my son was interviewing at U.K. College of Medicine. He called me that evening and told me that a faculty member had walked past him, turned and said, " I know your Dad." I knew immediately who that gentleman was. I wish Jim's family solace during thei time of grief.
