Janet Womack Obituary

FRANKFORT - Janet Sue Womack, formerly of Grayson, KY, died peacefully on Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY, after a short battle with cancer. Sue was born in Grayson, Aug 30, 1941, daughter of Hazel Buck Womack and the late Ellis Womack. She was a graduate of Prichard High School in Grayson, Fugazzi Business College in Lexington, and attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort. She was a dedicated employee for the state of Kentucky for 48 years and an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, George Womack and Carl (Betty) Womack, both of Grayson; sister, Ann Womack Yates, Foreston, MN; sister-in-law, Alicia Womack, Mattoon, IL; several special nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Womack. Visitation will be 6-9pm, Sun, Sep 12 at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY, and 6-9pm, Tue, Sep 14 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY. Funeral service will be 2pm, Wed, Sep 15 at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, officiated by Rev. Susan Elkaw. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park.
