Dear Josie.Michael and Tammy,
As you know, your Dad was a central and admired figure in the art activities of central Ohio - dedicated and inventive teacher, generous and congenial colleague, award winning artist and a painter whose work was respected and valued by his peers.
He was also wonderful company.
He will be remembered with admiration and fondness.
with sympathy,
Dick and Lou Wengenroth

Jo, along with Ruth, was a happy part of my summers in Nova Scotia with his dry wit and voracious interest in the La Have community and beyond. I will sorely miss him, he was much loved by his friends in Nova Scotia. My condolences to Ruth and family.

Professor Joseph Fitzpatrick, rest in peace. He was an inspiration to me, a non-traditional student at the University of Kentucky in the early 1980s. I learned so much from him about the art of painting, and regarded him as a friend and mentor as well as instructor. May I extend sincere sympathy to the family. I'm quite sure he was a special person in evey life he touched. God bless each and every one of you as you celebrate his life and all that he meant to you.

My deep condolences to all of you. The passing of a parent or close friend is a sobering moment that can open the door to such joy and celebration of a life well-lived.

To The Dear Fitzpatrick Family:
We could not let time go by without letting you hear from us. We felt very sorrowful after reading of Professor Fitzpatrick's passing. We have often thought about you, as we pass your former Lexington residence whenever we go from our rural home into the city of Lexington. We remember your having the Russell Elementary School Faculty over to your home at Christmastime, and the gracious way you served us. There is much more I could say about your beautiful family, and perhaps at another time I will get to, face-to-face, do so.
Please know that you are in our thoughts at this
time.
We love you.
Ruth (Louis) McDowell (former Russell Elementary School Music Teacher)
and appreciated you are.
