We lost a very bright and talented young man that day. He was my editor in chief of our campus newsletter. I have moved on from Barnabas Home but remember how intelligent he was. I babysat Josh's little sister and brother, Tyler and Lauren for 6 years. During that time I babysat Josh a few times too. He was a unique person and although I hadn't seen him in a few years he had called and talked to me. I had a unique perspective into Josh's life by watching him grow up. I took him to Bible School and Church the few times he would go with me. He always had a lot of questions and was always very curious. He would always take the lunch orders when he would stay with me and act like the waiter. He also liked to clean my house. God Bless him that was a job. Coretta and Matt, you are in my prayers always and I know that no matter what happens in your lives and no matter happened before, you both loved Josh and tried your best for him to know that. God bless you.

we all miss you so much, there isnt a day that goes by that your not thought of. you were and still are missed very much by everyone. i will always remenber the first day that i met you you gave me a hug and introduced yourself. i didnt get to know you as well as i would have liked to but i am glad that i had the chance to know you at all. you always had a smile and made everyone else smile. we miss you and love you.

I only met you a couple of times. But you knew my name and you knew my face. And I knew you. And you always seemed to cross my mind. Rocky is never going to be the same without you. I’ve known Josh for three years and in this time he touched apart of my life that will always be sacred. He was a true inspiration to all who knew him. He showed you that you could be different, and just be yourself, and be proud of that. As long as you accept you that’s all that really matters. He taught me that joy was something you should never take for granted, no matter how bad your day was going. He once told me that behind every dark cloud there was silver lining. So every time my day goes wrong I look for that little bit of hope, that touch of joy, that silver lining.

Dear Josh and his loved ones,
I cannot express how truely sorry I feel about what has happened. I was in school with Josh in the six grade and I can still remember all of the conversations we used to have in class. He was such an intelligent, talented, unique, and loving individual. I will never forget how i began talking to him.... I took up for him once and i was nice to him when alot of people weren't. He in return became my friend and was kind to me in a time when i thought nothing good about myself and i was constantly teased. Even though we never stayed in touch after he left Clark Middle, he made a difference in my life and who i am as a person today. He will be missed by everyone as i do also...

I didn't know Josh very well but every time I saw him he was always so happy and upbeat. We had our times when he would give me a hug and brighten my day. I just wish I would have talked to him more, but now that chance has passed. I hope hes in a better place but I'm sure hes happy where ever he is.
