Kenneth Roberts Obituary

RICHMOND - Kenneth P. Roberts, 75, of Windsor Dr., the loving husband of Gladys Scott Roberts, passed away peacefully Sat. morning, Mar. 12, 2005 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington with his family by his side. Mr. Roberts was born on Nov. 11, 1929 at Burning Springs in Clay County and was the son of the late Garrett and Elva Webb Roberts. He attended Eastern Kentucky University and was employed by the Carolina Furniture Works in Sumter, SC as a sales representative. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Gladys Scott Roberts, beloved father of Kenny Roberts (Marsha) and Kara Ray (Johnny) and his grandchildren: Chris Ray, Clint Ray, Jenna Ray, Garrett Ray, K. C. Roberts, Tory Roberts, Taylor Roberts and Michael Roberts, all of Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Tues. at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5-9 pm this evening at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chris Ray, Garrett Ray, K. C. Roberts, Clint Ray, Dwayne Wells and Allen Feldhaus Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Adams, Oliver Cosby, Gary Vencill, Jimmy Brewer, J. T.
