Leah McCarty Obituary

FRANKFORT - Leah McCarty, died at home in Frankfort, KY on Apr 26, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Richard Kimbler of Frankfort, and her son Mark Flener (Michelle) and her grandson Joshua Flener of Louisville, KY. A registered nurse, Leah lived her life with a love for God, animals, and people. Her active support of the Franklin County Humane Society and of Scottie Dog Rescue is legendary. Leah's ancestry is documented in her book, "The Boards From Bedford County, Virginia To Breckinridge and Meade Counties of Kentucky", and is available for review at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort. There will be no funeral service, however, a memorial service commemorating the life of this child of God and believer in Jesus Christ as Lord will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are requested to Capital City Christian Church and to the Franklin County Humane Society. Rogers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
