1952 - 2017

DAVID Lilly Atkinson, 65, of Nicholasville, was born August 12, 1952. She left this world and entered her heavenly home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 6th 2017. She was a faithful member of Seventh Street Baptist Church of Lexington, Ky. Lilly was the oldest and much loved daughter of the late Dave and Bea Slone of Pikeville, Ky. She leaves behind the love of her life of 25 years, Robert "Bobby" Atkinson. Survivors other than Bobby include; two sons, Paul Shaw and David Gilley; one daughter Kathy Shaw; two sisters, Hazel (Dennis) Gilley of Lexington and Susie (Ron) Davis of Danville; one brother, Danny Maynard of Lexington; one special sister in law Debbie Stanhope of Lexington; five grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Robert, Wayne and Tiffany; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Albert and James Maynard; a special nephew; James "Peanut" Gilley; three nieces, Elizabeth Bryan, Jennifer Bryan and Susan Maynard; and one special granddaughter, Patience Gilley. Lilly had many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all of them. The service will be 2pm Thursday September 14th at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Main St. There will be a visitation from 10am to 2pm the same day. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville, Ky.
