Marcus Delno FITZGERALD

1941 - 2018

FITZGERALD, Marcus Delno, 77, husband of Rebecca Reynolds Fitzgerald, died Dec. 4, 2018 at home with his family by his side. Born Aug. 20, 1941 in Somerset, KY, he was the son of the late Delbert and Effie Hudson Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Korea. He retired from G.T.E. in 1995. Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of Tates Creek Christian Church and Lafayette Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed collecting knives and belonged to the Central Kentucky Knife Club. Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Cindy Fitzgerald and India Hooks; three grandchildren, Eric (Leisha) Stewart, Zach Hargadon and Tory Hargadon; siblings, Howard (Karen) Fitzgerald, Mildred Flowers, Nelva Fitzgerald, Earlene Greene, Brent (Tamara) Fitzgerald, and Ruth (Jimmy) Troxtell; special brother-in-law, Ralph Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen Fitzgerald; and siblings, Nina Robinson, Lura Soard, and Marvin Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Sat., Dec. 8, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will take place 12:30 pm Mon., Dec. 10 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Fri. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to a local charity of one's choice.
