October 18, 1940 - February 3, 2022
Cynthiana, Kentucky - Maurice Glenn West, age 81, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Robertson County on October 18, 1940, to the late Louie Thomas West and Nina Lenora Poe. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer Louis West Sr., William Owen West, Howard Allen West, and Robert Logan West.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his farm, and caring for animals and birds.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Wanda Jane Kearns West; one son, Glenn Allen West; three daughters, Cathy (David) Grinstead, Teresa (Douglas) Lane, Cynthia (David) Vickers; one brother, Gary (Alice) West; two sisters, Imogene (Robert) Wilson, Donna (David) Malone; six grandchildren, Drew Grinstead, Josh (Faith) Grinstead, Ashley (Cody) Brumley, Katie (Wayne) Bowman, Ben Lane, Nathaniel Lane; six great-grandchildren, Sawyer Grinstead, Nora Grace Grinstead, Lane Brumley, Lexi Brumley, Levi Brumley, Magnolia Jo Bowman; a special friend, Danny Knapp; and a beloved pet, Dakota.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9th at 1:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison County Food Pantry, 201 Third Street, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
