I always thought that the true measure of a man was how he treated people that he didn't know very well. I am sad to say that I didn't know Mr. Zirnheld all that well, but we saw each other every year at Dr. Ron Bibb's UK vs UofL basketball party. He always came decked out in a Louisville hat, a U of L sweatshirt, and a smile. He was extremely nice and very approachable (even after his team lost). Less than a week before he died, I sat beside him at Dr. Bibb's dining room table after the game. He told me about his job at KU and about his daughter that was at WKU. You feel the love and pride eminating from him that can only come from a good man who cares deeply for his family. I regret not getting to know Mr. Zirnheld better, but I am thankful that I have met him. I am truly sorry for his loss.

I met Mike at Lancaster when that time he work at Garrard Auto Supply Store. He was talking to my Dad when My dad was mechanics as Body shop repair. He mention to my dad if He had deaf daughter. he said yeah, Her name was Sandy that time I went there with my dad. he ask me if i know Rita Zinerheld I say yes i do she is a sweet lady who does all the work for deaf serivces. Mike say that is my wife, Rita.. that how I met Mike down there. when i was young little girl. Iam so sorry of your loss loved the one y love your husband is nice guy and funny . I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I was a year behind him at Iroquois and also remember the family from my childhood as Deanie worked with my mother and uncle. I am shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's death. I went to high school with Mike and he was always fun-loving and good hearted. We had our 30 yr. reunion in 2003 and it was great to see him and talk with him. It's such a tragic loss. My prayers are with his family.

I work at London office yet worked with Mike briefly as a part-time clerk at the Danville office many years ago. Mike always had a pleasant disposition and a smile on his face. That is how I would like to remember him. I lost my brother 2 years ago Dec.22nd. Losing a loved one during the Holidays make it even more difficult. My prayers are with the family in their time of sorrow. May God comfort your heart and he did mine.
