i just found out about Miss Mildred today and i am so sad to learn of her passing. I met Mildred when we started at Big Lots many years ago. We became instant friends and at that time we were stockers and we would shop as we was putting stuff away.We would find hiding places for the items we wanted to buy until payday,we would laugh and have so much fun finding hiding spots.Even after i quit when i stopped in she would remind me of the fun we had in the old days and she would catch me up on all the gossip. She would always ask about my girls and i would ask about her son. She was a very special lady and i will miss her. Love you Miss Mildred

Some of us will always miss "sister". Whose love and understanding encompassed all. She was an exceptionally concientious individual with advise for every occasion. What I will miss most about Mildred is her imaginative mind and keen analytical ability. Her "esprit de corps" and a willingness to help all that are in "dire straits". She lived in Lexington, but had a constant care and loving for Richmond where she was reared. She was paramout to our community and role-model to childred. She was a quality person that came from a quality family. Mildred will be sorely missed by me. (take your rest) Francois Jackson

Chris and Ernest I am so very sorry to hear of Mildred's departure from this life. I knew Mildred when she had you Chris and she was living in Indianapolis. I was a friend of her cousin Wanda. Mildred and I became good friends. I have a daughter whose birthday is in March born in 1972 so we had many parental sharing notes and ideas.
I have been looking for friends on Facebook and I searched Mildred Meadows and this was a shock. Again be strong and remember she loved you so much. God knows best.

Chris I am so sorry for your loss and you have my deepest sympathy.I will truely miss talking and joking with her. When I would see her pull up it always put a smile on my face,I knew we would have some laughs. The only happiness I can have from this is that I had the opportunity to know her for the time that I did and I am grateful for that. If there is anything I can do for you just let me know. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
