Myra Waggoner Obituary

OLIVE HILL - Myra Margaret Sparkman Waggoner, 93, Old U.S. 60, Olive Hill, KY, passed away Tues. Jan. 2, 2006, in the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mrs. Waggoner was born Nov. 8, 1912 in Carter County, KY, a daughter of the late Everett and Viola Tackett Sparkman. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Olive Hill, KY, and past Worthy Matron of Olive Hill Eastern Star, having been a member of both for over fifty years. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Myra Janet and Bill Sartaine, Olive Hill, KY; three grandchildren: William J.P. Sartaine, Susan D. Erwin and John J. Sartaine; five great grandchildren: Carie Callahan, Willie Sartaine, Danny Erwin Jr., Ashley Sartaine and Alison Sartaine, and two great great grandchildren, Trevor J. Callahan and Taylor A. Callahan. Also surviving are two loving caregivers, Hazel Reynolds and Mona Barker. Preceding her in death was her husband of 47 years, Ora Jack Waggoner; one brother, James Sparkman; two sisters, Maxine Cassity and Louise Raybourn. Funeral service will be held Thurs. Jan. 5, 2006 at 1 pm at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, KY, with Brother Donald "Dick" Damron officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memory Gardens in Olive Hill, KY. Visitation will be after 5 pm Wed. and until time of service, Thurs. at the Globe Funeral Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101, or the First Christian Church in Olive Hill.
