Campton, Kentucky - Terry Dale Risner (69), a resident of Campton, KY, born March 4, 1954 in Middletown, OH, died Monday, August 7, 2023 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, KY. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and knowing he was loved.
Raised in West Liberty, KY, he was a 1972 graduate of Morgan County High School. He worked for 15 years in coal and road construction, before working with The United States Postal Service for 27 years in Jackson, West Liberty, Irvine, and Ravenna, KY, where he met many friends and colleagues. He retired in 2014 and spent the years since enjoying life to the fullest.
The things he loved most in this world were spending time with his family, being outdoors, and riding his motorcycle.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Miller Risner of Campton, KY; two sons: Justin Risner of Lexington, KY and Ryan (Lauren) Riser of Alexandria, KY; a grandchild: Rowan Ford Risner; a very special niece: Sarah Hurst of Lexington, KY; two brothers: Randy (Norma) Riser of West Liberty, KY and Todd Earley of Mize, KY; two nephews: Kyle (Megan) Riser of West Liberty, KY and Will (Annie) Rosenfelt of Winter Park, FL; a niece: Erica (Jason) Stegman of West Liberty, KY; two brothers-in-law: Bill Rosenfelt of Winter Park, FL and Larry Miller of Campton, KY, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arnold Riser and Joyce Earley Riser, and one niece, Brandy Risner.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 11, 2023, and funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Services will be held at Porter and Son Funeral Home in Campton, KY, with burial to follow at Ezel Cemetery in Ezel, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kentucky Chapter of the ALS Association,
