What a unique and interesting individual, a true character to know!
Always encouraging, joyful, and ready to share his faith. Never known a person to have such an eternal grasp on what money was and what it wasn't.
Will never forget the time he would take to give me books he thought would be helpful, and will certainly never forget his driving me around Somerset on a tour of the Ten Commandments! Well he could handle a car for certain.
I spent over a decade at Renfro Valley as an entertainer, he will always be one of the most memorable people I've ever met. I know he is taking in the Glories of heaven with even greater zeal than he lived life here.

I just found out about Ward's passing. How saddened I am for all of us on this earthly plain. He was such a wonderful friend to my Mama and Me. Marge and Debby Rhoads, The Country Rhoads. We performed at Renfro Valley Barn Dance for several years. We lived in Nashville and I still do live in Nashville. Renfro is the place we met Ward and his beautiful wife. He was our encourager and a close friend. I will truly miss his friendship, humor, kindness and just his presence for the rest of my life. I lost me dear Mama 2 years ago and he comforted me with such wonderful words then. To the family...I know you will miss him dearly. What a wonderful human being we all lost! Love you, Ward!

One of Mr. Correll's greatest achievements in life was the seeds he planted for God. For years Ward, Regina and their children would hold a Sunday school class planting those seeds to children in need. I am one of those children and would like to say thank you. You all have made a difference.

It is with deep sadness to hear of your father's passing. Ward always loved talking to everyone he met in passing. When my daughter was a toddler we were in a store in the trade winds shopping center and Ward came in and told her to pick out anything in the store and he would pay for it. She picked out a little white purse. That was back in the 70's. I thought that was so nice of him. He was a very gracious man. I am so sorry for u, his family. My deepest condolences. Mr.Ward was so special to our family. He was very generous with all of us, and our extended family always knew they were welcome at FBC Somerset because he greeted them and made them feel that way. He had that special compliment for Jim and for me each time he greeted us. We will all miss him, but we are so grateful that we can call him friend.
