Cravillion, Gerald "Jerry"

Gerald "Jerry" J. Cravillion, 82 of Luxemburg, died Tuesday afternoon, January 03, 2017 at his home, following a twelve year battle with cancer. He was born in Green Bay on February 28, 1934 to the late Fred J. and Philomena M. (Arendt) Cravillion. On October 23, 1954 he married Lolitta Gillis at St. Hubert Church, Sugarbush. She preceded him in death on August 13, 1958. On July 23, 1960 Jerry married Lilly Mae M. Kinnard at St. Peter Church, Lincoln. He attended Grant School and was a graduate of Luxemburg High School. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Luxemburg and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary. Jerry was a co-owner of the McMahon Furniture Store and Funeral Home in Luxemburg for over 51 years. He was a member of the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce, receiving the Man of the Year Award in 2004. His enjoyments included playing cards, spending time at the cabin and making firewood, driving his tractor and four wheeler, making chicken booyah, mixing Walhain specials, family gatherings, attending sporting events of his grandchildren and going out to eat at supper clubs.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lilly Mae and his children, Debra (Ken) Beaurain, Casco; Gerald "Jay" (Becky) Cravillion, Joseph (Tricia) Cravillion, Jeffrey (Beth) Cravillion, Jon (Cheryl) Cravillion, Mary (Dan) Schiltz, all of Luxemburg; Michelle (John) Ronsman, Casco; twenty grandchildren, Elizabeth Gunnlaugson, Stacy Gruetzmacher, Justin (Amber) Puissant, Sarah (Andy) Seidl, Alex Beaurain, Cole Cravillion, Cody (Lacey) Cravillion, Casey Cravillion, Kimberly (Brian) Dolski, Taylor and Jake Cravillion, Ben and Josh Cravillion, Matt and Mary Cravillion, Emily and Cassie Schiltz, Mitchell, Nathan, and Grandpa's Little Buddy, Max Ronsman; eight great-grandchildren, Garrett, Madelyn and Emma Bouche, Lukas Gunnlaugson, Colton and Callie Puissant, Braelyn Seidl, Jack Dolski; one sister, Marcella DeCleene, Eagle River; brothers in law and sisters in law, Vernon (Betty) Kinnard, Dale (Rosemary) Kinnard, Rose (Sam) Leferve, all of Casco; Emil Vandermause, Gillett; Helen Gillis, Green Bay; Larry (Jean) Gillis, Sherwood; Judy Gillis, New London; Arlene Phillips, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Philomena Cravillion; his first wife, Lolitta Cravillion; one daughter, Diane Gruetzmacher; his father and mother in law, Henry and Johanna Gillis, Joseph and Lillian Kinnard; brothers in law and sisters in law, Eben DeClenne, Harold (Mary Jane) Kinnard, Lloyd Kinnard, Joseph (Betty) Kinnard, Harold Gillis, Gary Gillis, Ray (Aurellia) Phillips, Gladys Vandermause, Bernice (Alvin) Gigot, Veronica (Roy) Luedtke.

Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 7:30 pm on Friday, January 06, 2017. Closing parish prayer service 7:30. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 11:00 am on Saturday, January 07, 2017 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Sugarbush. Funeral 11:15 am at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
