HOWARD BLEICH Obituary

HOWARD BIG PINE KEY - BLEICH BLEICH Howard passed away April 9, 2025. He was born October 22, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The son of Henry and Sara Bleich. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister

Judy and infant brother Donald.

His father moved the family to Hollywood, Fl. when Howard was 12. He went to South Broward

High School. After graduation he joined the National Guard for four years. He enlisted in the

Marine Corp for two years. When he returned home he worked for Clear View Awing Company.

He married Jean Warren and they had a daughter Elaine.

He married Diane Methfessel and they had three children Susan, Michael (Donna) and Lori.

Howard has 3 grandchildren Heather Sawyer (Lucian), Devin and Jenna and two great grandchildren Kennedy, and Savanna.

Howard & Diane moved to Big Pine Key after retirement. They loved boating, fishing, and snorkeling. Howard got his captains license and realtors license, planning on working that never happened, fishing got in the way.

Howard converted to Catholicism at St. Peter's Church on Big Pine Key. He became a member of the Knights of Columbus and the following year he was the Grand Knight. He was the

treasurer for 17 years.

Howard ran the fish dinners, Seder dinner, Christmas tree sales. He was head usher at Saturday night Mass. Vacation Bible School he played Jack in the puppet show.

I want to express my gratitude to the Hospice nurses and care givers Sabrina & Cira.

Funeral Mass is April 26 at 11AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Big Pine Key. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe given to St. Peter Catholic Church 31300 Overseas Highway Big Pine Key, FL 33043 in memory of Howard H. Bleich.
