Blake Kyndall Turner

KINSTON | Blake Kyndall Turner, 17, died Thursday, March 31, 2016. Blake was born in Greenville, N.C., the daughter of Laura Turner and Eric Pettry and the late Ebbin Dula. She attended North Lenoir High School and she was currently enrolled as a student at Lenoir Community College where she had plans to further her education and to pursue a career in cosmetology. Blake loved her little sister Bryson, was passionate about music, loved going to the beach, loved shopping and taking ""selfies,"" and was devoted to her two dogs, Aleah and Bailey. She recently began attending Tanglewood Church of God. She will be missed dearly by her family, and friends. In addition to her parents, Blake is survived by her sisters, Bryson Turner, Maddison Warren, Emmarie Dula, Erianna Dula, Meghan Pettry and Ashlyn Pettry; brothers, Royce Dula, Eyan Dula, and Kameron Pettry; maternal grandparents, Danny and Susan Turner; paternal grandparents, Annette Taylor and Roy Whaley; special mema and papa, Thoi and Bruce Pettry; maternal great-grandmothers, Martha Turner and Rachel Lovick; paternal great-grandmother, Sallie Whaley; and special aunts, uncles and cousins, Michael and Paige Turner, Peyton and Heath and Greg and Sarah Turner, Emily and Austin. She also leaves behind two very special friends, Taia Scott and Rita Newcomb; and a very special boyfriend, Clay Gaines. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 6 p.m. at Tanglewood Church of God with Pastor Allen Stocks and Pastor Chris Sloan officiating.
