Richard Bohanan Obituary

Our "Baby Brother", Richard Allen Bohanan, 51, passed away unexpectably on Sunday, April 18th, 2021 in Gilbert, Arizona. Richard was born on September 24th, 1969 to parents, Russell and Nadean Bohanan. Richard moved to Edina, Mo with his mom Nadean and step-dad Richard Latimer, where he loved the farm life. Richard enjoyed coon hunting, 3 wheeler riding and just being ornery, but especially loved his momma's home cooking. She spoiled him, after all, he was the baby!

Richard was a graduate from Knox County High School. Richard married Kelly Ann Kelly and together they had a son, Anthony, who now resides in Wisconsin. In November 1992 Richard joined the Boone County Sheriff's Department, Columbia, Missouri where he worked for 12 years earning the rank of Sergeant. He worked as a canine officer with his beloved dog Tarko, loved his job and was proud of what he did.

In 2012, Richard married Jami Dennis and they moved to Arizona. Richard enjoyed taking care of their pool and working in the yard while doing day trading, but most of all he loved spending time with his precious little girl, Keelyn Marie Bohanan.

Richard is survived by his sister, Suzanne (Tom Lewis), brother, Terry (Olga) Bohanan, son, Anthony Bohanan and granddaughter Launa Bohanan; daughter, Keelyn Bohanan, nieces, Dani (Ric)Cooper, Kelli (Ryan) Glasscock, Jennifer (Cody) Hatcher, Jill Hargis, and Nephews, Tommy Lewis and John Bohanan, a very special Uncle, Donald Bunch and his very best friend, Jeff Baker.

Richard was engaged to be married to Michelle Diaz in November of this year. We are going to miss our little brother terribly, we know he was welcomed in to heaven and receiving the biggest Momma Hug ever. We love you with all our hearts Richard Allen Bohanan!
