Roger Hamilton Obituary
Born March 30, 1939 in Kirksville, Missouri, Roger was the son of the late Eldon Theodore and Ida Arvilla (Miller) Hamilton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Keith Hamilton.
Roger is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Sue and Jim Johnson of Branson West, MO; his special friend for a number of years, Sue Lobina and her sons, Sam and Danny Lobina; one niece, Kim (Todd) Robinson of Ottumwa, IA; two nephews, Kevin Hamilton of Gifford, MO and Kurt (Susan) Hamilton of LaPlata, MO; great nephews and nieces, Brock Hamilton of Columbia, MO, Brook (Zach) Robinson, Beth (William) Cardwell, Hillary Hamilton, and Keaton (Erika) Hamilton all of LaPlata, MO; as well as eight great-great grandchildren, Wyatt, Kennady, William, Landrie, Kate, Ty, Finnegan and Kolt.
Roger was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1957 and attended Kirksville State Teachers College receiving a bachelors degree in accounting. He served and was an accountant in the United States Army. Roger was a lifelong accountant and worked for Larry Gardner Accounting Service.
Roger's past time interest were following St. Louis Cardinals baseball, country music, Bud Reese, Ronda Vincent & Family, collecting small John Deere tractors, collecting baseball caps, and most of all he loved watching and attending his great-great nieces softball and basketball games.
Public visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2025 with graveside services following at 2:00 p.m. at Mulberry Cemetery, north west of Kirksville.
Pallbearers will be Kurt Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton, Todd Robinson, Ryley Robinson, Danny Lobina, and Sam Lobina. Keaton Hamilton will be an honorary pallbearer.
Memorial donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Kirksville Humane Society and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
