I went all through school with John from kindergarten through high school and remember his house on Washington Street. I remember when he had his heart transplant and so happy it was successful. He was a great guy and longtime friend although we had not seen one another for quite some time. RIP John

What a pleasure getting to know John in the past few years. He is a personal testimonial to the fact that good attitude and a calm and methodical disposition can allow you to live and life far beyond expectations— over 32 years post heart transplant! Thank you John for the your friendship and the life lessons you have shared.

Jonh was the best friend a person could ever have. He was always positive and never let you know if something was bothering him. I loved his happy disposition and yes, his cookies. I will really miss this gentle man. John also gave me the nickname Tsquaredh

Our families were next door neighbors for many years, including our years at West High School. John wasn’t only a good friend and neighbor, but a part of our family forever.
We spent many hours together on the water around Rocky Point and Marine Drive. We built small boats, worked on his cars, motorcycle, etc. He always had a project and could do virtually anything.
After I moved away from Bremerton John stayed close to my parents until each had passed. John was probably the happiest and most sincere person I have ever met. I am very thankful for all of the wonderful memories.
Rest in peace my friend. You certainly earned it.

I never knew John, personally but I do remember seeing him at West ( I'm a '64 'Cat) and around town from time to time. I always wondered why he was always so smiley and appeared to be ok with life. Reading his obit explains it all. My condolences for your loss.
