Hello:
Mrs. Shaw was my first grade teacher at Marion AVenue school.
She was my favorite teacher. Mrs. Shaw was so kind. I remember when they come to school and it started to snow. She let the kids go out for recess, but I didn´t have any gloves and I sat in the classroom. She asked me: Eileen don´t you want to go play? She had a pair of white gloves in her hand, handed them to me and told me to go have some fun.
I also remember an assignment to draw a car and I was just staring at the blank page. She walked up and said do you want me to show you how to draw a car I said yes. She proceeded to draw. I know now to have been a Mercedes coupe. It had the long front the bubble back and the tires. She told me that this is the car that you should have. Of course I had no idea that it was a Mercedes-Benz and but I never forgot the shape of that car. I got older, I realized what it was. That was the 500 SL, and do you know that I have one in my garage right now and I think of her.
I saw her later in life when I was around 30 years old at the Edmond´s Fred Meyer. I recognized her and said: Mrs. Shaw! She walked up to me slowly, put both hands on my face and said: my beautiful little Eileen I was so surprised that she remembered me and I was so happy. I told her how much she meant to me. I´m so thankful to have seen her again. I Love Mrs. Shaw.
My condolences to the family. She´s made such a difference in so many lives. She has the class of Jackie O

I always respected her, she was so good to her son Robert my cousin. I learned you are successful if you have education, and there is no such thing as spoiling a child if your educating them. I only did 2 yrs of college, but it makes me want more.
