Theresa Pearson Obituary

Theresa Anne Pearson

Port Orchard, WA

Aug. 4, 1949 to June 30, 2018

Theresa (Teri) Anne Cashion Pearson was born on August 4th, 1949, in Tacoma, Washington, and died June 30, 2018, at her home in Port Orchard, Washington, with her family by her side, after a long and hard-fought battle against cancer.

Teri is preceded in death by both of her parents, Thomas Cashion and Betty Howarth Cashion, and her sister Christine Marie Cashion. Teri is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert Pearson; three daughters Shawnte (Justin) Dubuc, Nicole Pearson, and Brandi (Paul) Huffman; three grandsons, Ikaika Pearson, Jayse Stetler and Beckham Dubuc; a great-granddaughter, Mailah Pearson; two sisters Diane Nelson and Loretta Schenk; her brother Michael Cashion as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Teri was a loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother (mema), great-grandmother, cousin, and friend. She was truly a kind, caring, thoughtful, considerate, loving, funny, fun-loving, stubborn, generous, brave and beautiful woman who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Teri worked at South Colby Elementary School for 20+ years in the main office and loved the family atmosphere that the office and school fostered. She had a great love for all the children who passed through those halls and her fellow co-workers.

Teri was a registered member of the Colville Confederated Indian Tribe. She was very proud of her heritage and the strong Native American legacy she was a part of.

Teri has chosen to be cremated. Her ashes will be spread on Sunday July 29, 2018 during a small gathering of family and close friends at her family's cabin in the Kelly Hill area of northeastern Washington and PIA Mission. A celebration of life will also be planned for a later date and time to be determined for all those she touched to be able to celebrate her life and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Teri's honor to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.

Teri was a GREAT woman, friend and neighbor and she LOVED her family so much! She was so damn funny too! She loved life, she was REAL, down-to-earth and had this inner wisdom that she would share. She knew how to have a great time, appreciate the beauty around her and share freely. I miss her already.

Sending much compassion and kindness out to Rob, her daughters, grandkids, siblings, friends and poor little Dapper. I grieve with you all.
Peace to you, Teri.
Love,
Robyn Beckman

I cant even begin to say how sweet, loving, and beautiful Teri was. Her spirit and warmth permeated to anyone in her presence. I'm sure heaven is blessed to have her along with many family members that have preceded her. One truly beautiful woman, wife, mother, and friend. God bless her....and her family.
