Donna Evans Obituary

EVANS, DONNA R. - died late Saturday night June 24, 2006 at Southern Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Frank Ray and Ann F. Moulton, born in 1942. She moved with her parents to Kennebunkport, Maine in 1945. She graduated from Kennebunkport Grade School and Kennebunk High School. During her teens, she worked as a Candy Striper at the old Webber Hospital in Biddeford, ME. While in her nurses training she met and later married Jack Evans and had two children, Dawne Evans and John Evans. Her husband was then in the Navy and she worked in several hospitals and health care centers as they moved from one base to another. Those were busy years with the moves, careers, and raising their young family. Donna was an avid book reader, a passion she carried from her early years. She loved traveling, and in her later years enjoyed helping many of her older friends. She was a very sensitive and kind person. Her mother, Ann F. Moulton and her sister, Ann A. Henry predeceased her. She is survived by: her father, Frank Ray Moulton; her long time companion, Ron Valade; daughter, Dawne Evans of Biddeford, ME; son, John Evans of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Chasitey, Brandon, Haleigh, Ethan, Scotty, and Steve Evans; one great granddaughter, Reagan Cassidy Evans; five nephews, James and Michael Sidbury, and William, Charles, and Ray Henry; one niece, Lynn Rae Sidbury; and many other relatives and friends. She will be missed and loved by all. At Donna's request there will be no formal services. Interment will be in Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport, Maine.
