Hannah Midas Obituary

MIDAS, HANNAH JANE RUSSELL - age 82 of Maryville, passed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father on January 31, 2008. Born on February 19, 1925 in Knoxville, she was preceded in death by parents, Frank Russell and Mary Sowers Russell; sisters, Caroline Russell, Barbara McMillian; daughter, Amy Midas Tyler. A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Werner H. King Midas; son, Paul Midas; son, David Midas and wife Tracie Midas; stepson, Harold Midas; grandchildren, Ian Tyler, Erik Midas and Kaitlin Midas. She enjoyed various aerobics classes at Olympia Health Club, over the years. She always put her faith in the Lord and was a life long member of St. James Episcopal Church, Knoxville, where she was a member of the Daughter's of the King. The family would also like to give special thanks to Lynne Midas for her love and devotion, Dr. Mazen Hatab, East Tennessee Dialysis, all of the nurses that cared for her at Blount Memorial, Dr. Milhollin, Dr. Reisser, caregivers, Sue Woods and family, Cindy Gregory, Charlene Holder, Ann Chambers, Chaplain Joe Colquitt. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. The family will also receive friends from 11-12:00 noon Tuesday at St. James Episcopal Church, Knoxville, followed by a 12:00 noon funeral service with the Rev. Joseph H. Ballard, Jr. and the Rev. Albert N. Minor officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville.
