Jack was always a person of humble Christian leadership.. This was even evident as youngsters in High-School. The Central class reunion was a renewing of old friendships, along with a new friendship with Ruth. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to share this renewal, to learn of their family. My deepest sympathy as he will surely be missed. Millie Brooks Jarrett

Dear Ruth,
We're so very sorry to read of Jack's passing. He, and you, have always been a "special" remembrance, since you lived in Sevierville. How we loved to hear the two of you sing at the First Baptist there!
I can also remember Dr. Jack meeting me at the dental office (on his day off) to help me out of pain.
Our prayers and condolences to the entire family,
Nelli Mullins/Walker and Patsy Jo Mullins/Hatcher

Ruth and Family,
As a young man in the First Baptist Church Choir, I learned from Jack dependability, genuine selflessness, and how to show the love of Christ by simple giving of self. Jack was one of the kindest men I've had the pleasure of knowing. I'm so sorry that I can't make it to the service in his honor. May God bless you.

Dear Ruth and Family--Like so many, I was shocked and saddened to learn of Jack's homegoing. You know how much we loved him dearly; I want to think that he got a big smiling welcome from Manget when he left this earth and entered into the Joy that was awaiting him. Though the years and life's changes have kept us from being in touch with each other, know that you have never left my heart. Tim, Jeph and Jon all expressed to me their own sadness at Jack's passing. May you know the God of all comfort in a way that you have never known Him before.

I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May our Lord give you peace during this saddest of all times. Psalm 116:15 says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Jesus is waiting to welcome each of His children home. I hope that scripture will bring comfort to your heart.

I vividly remember Jack's wonderful sense of humor and the songs he and Ruth sang for us all to enjoy at the First Baptist Church in Sevierville. Jack enriched the lives of all who knew him. Ruth, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

You have been together so very long, the real meaning of becoming "one". God bless you and hope to see you on Thursday. Norma has been sick all week and I am on Jury Duty for the week, but hopefully at least one of us can make it.

I went to this Obit trying to determine if this gentleman could be a decendent of a Dr. Fuson who had his office in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee in 1919. He was a wonderful individual is saving my life as an infant and in later years saving the life of my mother. Dr. Fuson and Dr. Evans, of Middlesboro, Kentucky rode on horseback across the mountain 15 miles to my parents home, where surgery was performed in the home to save my life.I was toldthey place a sheet on a folded down Singer Sewing Machine they used for an operating table, a black lady held a kerosene lamp. (She was not a servant. She was a helpful neighbor we all knew as Aunt Maud Parkey. Don`t anyone try to tell me that members of the medical profession are not dedicated individuals.
