JACK W. WELLS

WELLS, JACK W. - age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, at home. He was a longtime member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and the Seven Island Community. Jack retired from the Alcoa Aluminum Plant after 25 years of service and later became a gentleman farmer. Jack and Sadie were married on December 18, 1987, at the Little Farm. He was a humble man who loved his family and his Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Witenbarger Wells; and his first wife, Delores Wells. Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Sadie Ann Bingham Wells; son, Patrick T. Wells; "adopted" son, Michael Gilbert; mother-in-law, Jo Ann Baker Bingham; grandchildren, Dakota and Austyn McCarter; beloved sister, Imogene Wells Perkins and husband, Benny D. Perkins; best cowboy buddy, James McCarter; and Jack's loyal dog, Casey. In lieu of flowers, please select an angel from the Angel Tree to help a child in need. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18th, at Atchley's Seymour Chapel with the celebration of life to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Foust officiating.
