John Loop Obituary
Knoxville - John (Jack) Anderson Loop, age 39, departed this world on June 13, 2019, while residing in Rochester, New York. Jack loved writing, music, hole-in-the-wall diners, and matching wits with the best of them. He leaves behind his son Isaac Loop, parents: Johnny and Denna, brothers: Josh (Amy, Tanner, and Riley), Mike (Max), and special friend Jessica (Chloe). Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 6:30 pm, Pastor Mark McCool officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.

We made friends everywhere we went

Jack was my best friend. I loved him absolutely. Through thick and thin, through hard times and harder times. I spoke to him two days before he died and just now finding this out is the most crushing thing in the world. I loved his smile; I loved his poetry; I loved how deeply he cared for people; I loved listening to Tom Waits with him and watching nature documentaries. I loved being there with him for his son's Thomas the Train birthday. I gave him the hat my grandfather wore and I loved seeing him in it everywhere he went. I sincerely hope he was buried in it. I will never forget the days we spent on my sunny porch reading books and talking about music together or just lackadaisically wandering around town. He understood me and I understood him. I will forever miss and remember him.
