Was very close to my father and hoped to see him many more times. Alzheimer's disease made that especially difficult. He told me when I was young to always call him Dad so hard to understand anyone asking me to no longer call him Dad even if he did no longer recognized me.Still he never failed to tell me he loved me.Love you Dad.

Kevin once related a story about his experience playing football for Iowa. He said they had a great team in his senior year and they ended up in the Rose Bowl that year. The game was exciting and for years he and another fullback shared the record for most combined Rosebowl yards gained; believe it was 143 total yards. And as was "so Kevin" he self effacingly pointed out his teammate had 146 yards and he was minus 3 yards.
