Kyle Thompson Obituary
Morristown, TN
Kyle Eugene Thompson, 85, father, farmer and friend died September 8, 2015. Kyle was active in the Hamblen County Lions Club, and was a member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church. He was a member of Morristown Lodge 231.
Kyle was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Everhart Thompson; his parents, Dan R. and Bessie Johns Thompson; his sister, Mary Nell Thompson Dickerson; and his special cousins, Ralph Day and J B Thompson. Kyle is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Kyle and Jan Thompson of Maryville, and Dr. Tom C. and Amy Thompson of Morristown; five grandchildren, Ashley Thompson (Jason) McGaha, Brent (Kelly) Thompson, Blair Young (Jason) Grove, Katherine Thompson, and William Kyle Thompson; three great grandchildren, Karis and Aubrey Kate McGaha, and Camden Grove; sister, Dorothy Thompson Lloyd; nieces, Robyn Lloyd Rutledge, Tracy Dickerson Clapp, and DanNell Lloyd Cameron; and special friend, Margaret Guinn.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 11, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Airy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 on Thursday, September 10, 2015. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morristown Senior Citizen's Center located at 841 Lincoln Avenue Morristown, TN 37813, or the Hamblen County Lion's Club.

I was so sorry to hear of Kyle's death. I am out of town & a friend called me. He was a great man that I had the pleasure of knowing since I was very young. He & J.B. leased my dad's first service station. I will remember him always.

Kyle was surely my good friend. He was "Best Man" at our wedding. We went a lot of miles together. He will always hold a special place in Jackie's and my hearts.
