Lillian "Toonie" Alice Freeman, age 58, was born October 18, 1957, in Knoxville, TN. The anthem of the Heavenly host became sweeter on August 11, 2016, when the King of Glory decided it was time for her to be with her Lord. She was a graduate of Rule High School, class of 1975. She was employed at TVA, and was a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Due to health issues, she was not able to attend church as often as she had hoped.

Preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Freeman; grandmother, Eddie Belle Cardwell; and grandfather, Elijah Freeman II. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Chelita (Bryan) Hicks, Cashawnda (Charles), Niesha (Shyne), and Ebony Freeman, of Duluth , GA, and Johneisha (Uzo) Ananti, of San Antonio, TX; sons, Johnny, LaShawn (Tia), Calvin and Michael (Maria) Freeman; 31 grandchildren to include, DeAngelo and Ivan (Megan) Freeman, Breana Hicks and Lance Cutchember; one great-grandchild; mother, Gaynell Freeman; brothers, Mark (Penny) Freeman, of Newport News, VA, Sanford and Leonard Freeman; sister, Melissa Freeman; aunts, Mary Juandoo, and Lilia Dumas; uncle, Elijah (Almeta) Freeman, III, of Abilene, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to include, JoAnn Stacy, Regina Buford, and Wanda Hamilton.

On Saturday, August 20, 2016, the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m., with a celebration of life service to follow at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1933 Texas Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921, Reverend Dr. Joseph B.
