For those who knew her, she was a special woman, teacher and child of god. I know because if not for her I would not have made it this far in life. I was her student for over three years at Powell High school. She made me feel as if anything was possible! She helped me through so many bad times and never once let me down. I want her family to know that she touched me like no other teacher ever did. I became a teacher in honor of her. With great happiness, I had the opportunty to tell her what she meant to me years later. But to her family, Your loss is felt all over the world. I hope you find great confort in knowing that God gave us a special woman and now she is home in his arms. I know very few people more deserving of that honor.

I will always remember a Latin teacher that didn't give up on me, even when I had. I'll always remember her willingness to listen to problems, more as a friend than as a teacher. I will always remember a woman whose love for what she did showed. I'll miss you Lisa. I wish I had been able to speak to you, just to tell you "Thanks"..

I did not get the privilege to know or meet Lisa, but her Mother Mrs. Beasley was one of my nursing professors @ Cumberland College in 1975-1976, and she was a blessing to me. I live in Frankfort Ky and am a nursing case manager and will retire in 09/2007. I have credited her for much of my success. I am so sorry for your loss. I read the obituary while visiting our son who lives now in the Knoxville area. Lynn Sparks RN

Miss Beasley was my homeroom teacher her first year of teaching at Powell High School. She was always sweet, smiling, and so pretty. She conducted homeroom as she should have, but would also talk to us as though she were one of us. Most teachers did not do that. Although I never had her as a classroom teacher, I have never forgotten her. I am now in my 13th year as a 7th grade teacher at Powell Middle. I always try to smile at my students just as she did every morning that we walked in. Many times that smile, first thing in the morning and during class, will be the only one that kids see until the next school day.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family and friends.

I had Ms. Beasley as a Latin teacher for the past two years at Fulton. She was such a sweet lady and always had a smile on her face. I felt that we did not deserve to have her as a teacher because no matter what battle she was fighting, she never once let it show. When students would become rowdy she never once raised her voice, and seemed to be so happy all the time. She was a wonderful lady and will truly be missed by all of us at Fulton High School.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. No matter how bad Lisa felt when she came in to see Dr. Thomas or Harriet she always had a smile on her face. I have to say that Lisa was hands down our favorite patient. Lisa was just a good and kind person and she will be missed very much.

Miss Beasley was just the best. I had her for Latin 2 her first year of teaching. Latin Club always gave her a hard time about "Biff." We dubbed him her imaginary boyfriend. She got a kick out of it.
