Ray Moore Obituary

MOORE, RAY "TINY" - age 64, was called home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday. Ray was a loving husband of almost 42 years to his beautiful wife, Judy Moore. They had a wonderful life together. Ray was the best dad on earth to his girls, Nicole and Natalie. He was a loving father-in-law to Brandon Workman and Jeff Storment, and the #1 Papaw of T.J. Storment and Evan Workman. Ray was a graduate of Young High School, Class of '64. He later played football at ETSU and with the Knoxville Bears. Ray worked with his father at Moore Heating and Air until retiring a couple of years ago. He enjoyed his years coaching the South Knoxville Trojans and the Mystix Girls Softball Teams. He enjoyed watching his grandsons, TJ play football and baseball and Evan, play soccer and driving them around on his tractor. He leaves behind lifelong and special friends, Greg and Sandy, Gary and Betty Ann, Jean and Gary, Joe and Mary, Bill and Dede, Pickens, Vinnie, Caroline, Jay, Clifford, Butch and Donna, Tim, Sis and Tom, Jim and Becky, and Jodi Duncan, Glenn and Bobby, Louise and Dickey. He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara; and sister-in-laws, Diane and Clara; and many nieces and nephews and a special niece, Beth Holbert; and four legged friends, Zeus and Thumper. Friends and family invites you to join us on the Moore family farm at 1100 Tarwater Road, Thursday, September 1st at 10:00 a.m. for a celebration of the life of Ray "Tiny" Moore. A college fund has been set up in his memory to help with his grandsons, TJ and Evan's education. Donations may be made out to Nicole Workman, 8331 Harbor Cove Drive, Knoxville, TN 37938. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com.

I want to send my condolences to the Moore Family. I worked with Ray in the HVAC business. He was a great man, much like his Father. We both have Rheum. arthritis, Ray took the time one day to show me how to give myself the Enbrel shot. I still take it to this day. That's Ray Moore. Love you Ray!!

Judy, Natalie and family, I was so very shocked and sadden when I spoke with you(Judy)and found out about Tiny. He was one of my very favorite patients. Always ready to talk about his family. It wasn't until today that I put two and two together and realized that you (Natalie) were Tiny's daughter. I have know him for 12 years and it never dawned on me that when he spoke of all of you that you were the Natalie I went to school with. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great man and will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mitzi (Neff) Crowder (Dr. Burkhart's office)
