Ray Watson Obituary

WATSON, RAY E. - age 84 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday evening Nov. 8, 2007 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed by Campbell Wallace Engineers. Preceded in death by his parents Verlin and Flossie Watson; wife Barbara (Jensen) Watson; sister Mildred (Mickey) Myers. Survived by daughter, Susan Watson; sister, Evelyn Long; nieces Linda, Sharon and Pat; nephew, Steve. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm Sunday at Gentry-Griffey Chapel with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 10:45 am Monday for an 11:00 am Interment Service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church of Fountain City Missionary Fund. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Sunday at Gentry-Griffey Chapel.
