RUBY PAULINE "POLLY" MAXWELL

MAXWELL, RUBY PAULINE "POLLY" - age 85, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday December 16, 2012 at NHC St. Mary's. She was a charter member at New Fellowship Baptist Church. She was retired from K-Mart and St. Mary's Hospital. She was an avid CB operator with the handle "Lady Ruffles". She was preceded in death by husband James Maxwell; son Jimmy Maxwell, Jr.; parents Robert and Lula Maxwell; sister Louise Hall and numerous half brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Paulette and Wayne Lay; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Claudia Maxwell; grandchildren Stephanie Steed, Jackie (Johnny) Raley, Tabby (Chuck) England, Daniel (Angel) Maxwell, and Alex (Tara) Maxwell; great-grandchildren Savannah (Rickey) Lawson, Sierra Steed, Mandi England, Chandler England, McKenzie England, Tanner Raley, Bentley Maxwell, and Elienna Maxwell and great-great-granddaughter Zoey Jane Lawson. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of NHC on Emerald Ave. for their exceptional care. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel Wednesday at 10:30 am to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for graveside service at 11:00 am with Rev. Wayne Lay officiating.
