LUSTER, RUTH MAE - of Oak Ridge departed this life at Windwood Health Care September 19, 2006. Preceded in death by parents: Cephus Crockett and Pecola Crockett-Giles; brother Julius Crockett; sister, Ollie Belle Bolden; husbands, Prophet E. Brooms and Jesse Luster; grandson, Ramono "Moon" Luster; son-in-law, Wayne McKnight. Survivors, sister, Thelma (James) Jones, Santa Barbara, CA; daughters, Annie L. Smith, NJ, Beulah M. Brooms, NY, Pecola (Howard) Ewing, Harriman, TN, Ruth J. Brooms and Judy A. McKnight, both of Oak Ridge, TN; grandchildren, Marvon A. Brooms, Harriman, TN, Annette Wright-Sutton (Reggie), NJ, Tahyne Osei and Samuel Agyemang, both of NY, Alex Agyemang (Kimberly), VA, Michael Agyemang, Raymond (Piggy) Luster, Julia D. Moore, Deanna McKnight, Oak Ridge, TN, Rahvonna Turner, Knoxville, TN; great-grandson, JeMiale M. (Karen) McKinney, Knoxville, TN; fifteen other great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends, 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Baptist Church; funeral service 2:30 p.m., Rev. Jessie Williams, officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary

Judy,

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Ruth's passing and regret that I could not attend the funeral. She was such a kind woman that always wore a gentle smile. Lady, you have had your trials during the past several years but know that God knows best. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless....
