Susan Miller

Knoxville - Susan Erdman Miller, 58, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, John J. and Helen J. Erdman (Groggy and Papa). She is survived by her beloved husband, Barry W. Miller; son, Robert Miller; daughter, Sarah Miller Dunne (Woodard); her cherished canine companion, Jake; sisters, Kathy (Charlie), Patty (Dean) and Mary (Gary); six nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews and her dear friends Ginny and Gwen.

Susan spent many hours in the gym cheering on Sarah and Robert on the basketball court. She was an avid Tennessee Vols and Lady Vols fan and proudly wore her Big Orange attire on game day. She was affectionately called "Foof" by her family and all will remember her as kind, generous and fun loving.

Susan attended Henrico High School in Richmond VA and Virginia Tech. Susan was a talented, competitive tennis player in high school and college achieving state ranking. She had a long career with the Federal Government working at Farmers Home Administration and Housing Urban Development retiring in 2014.

The family is grateful for the care that Susan received from the Amedisys Home Health and Hospice Care over the past year with a special thanks for the loving care provide by Shelly and Laura.

A private family service will be held. Her ashes will be spread at one of her favorite spots, Myrtle Beach.

Donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
