Thurskin Bulgin Obituary

BULGIN, THURSKIN GEORGE - age 78 of Knoxville, departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada. Mr. Bulgin was the son of the late George Bulgin and Mary Parsons Bulgin. He served in World War II receiving the Victory Medal. Retired after 25 years of service with the Detroit, MI Police Department. Mr. Bulgin moved to Knoxville, TN in 2003 where he attended Second Presbyterian Church. He is survived by: his wife, Dottie Bulgin; two stepchildren, Donna McCollough and Donald Akin of Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Dennis Young and Carol Young of MI, Nancy Young of TX, Ron Young of FL; and many cousins of Canada. Will be missed by many friends. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church, 2829 Kingston Pike, on Tuesday, September 5, 2:00 p.m., Rev. Patricia N. Harvey officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in Memphis. Mr. Bulgins' guestbook can be signed online at: www.highlandmemorialparks.com.
