Barbara Myers Obituary
She was born October 30, 1933, in Auburn. Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Auburn High School. She married Preston L. Myers on June 5, 1954, in Auburn, and he passed away October 11, 1994.
Barbara was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Auburn where she was also a member of the church choir and the Christian Women's Fellowship.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sue Myers of Waterloo; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Randy Thomas of Auburn; five grandchildren, Jennifer Myers of Waterloo, Barron (Becky) Thomas of Avilla, Amanda Thomas of Auburn, Lucas (Emily) Thomas of Auburn, and Becky (Rob) Schmelz of Carmel; and three great grandchildren, Olivia Thomas, Katie Schmelz, and Tyson Schmelz.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Arnold L. and Mabel Link; her mother, Dorothy E. (Purdy) Link; her husband; a stillborn brother; and a stepsister, Vivian Guinn.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 910 N. Indiana Ave., Auburn, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Dr. Robert Craig will be officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Auburn. Visitation will also be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church (CWF).
