WILLIARD, Mo. - Phyllis M. Button, 77, of Willard, Missouri, and a lifetime resident of Hamilton, Indiana, passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at Magnolia Square Health and Rehabilitation Center, Springfield, Missouri.
Phyllis was born on April 5, 1946, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Willard and M. Virginia (Newcomb) Frager.
She was a 1964 graduate of Edgerton High School.
Phyllis married the love of her life, Bruce W. Button, on March 4, 1972, at Edgerton United Methodist Church, Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2022.
Phyllis was an inspector for Pittsfield of Indiana, Hamilton for 35 years, retiring in 2012. Prior to this, Phyllis worked at Universal Tool in Butler, Indiana.
She was a member of the Angola Assembly of God Church, where she taught children's Sunday school for many years.
Phyllis enjoyed making ceramics, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family.
Surviving is her daughter, Camille (Justin) Kochs, of Willard, Missouri; two grandchildren, Aubrey and Liam Kochs, also of Willard, Missouri; one brother, Phillip (Diane) Frager, of Edgerton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Bruce, and one sister, Nora Phauneil Frager.
Visitation for Phyllis M. Button will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, from 3-7 p.m., at Angola Assembly of God Church, 1405 Williams St., Angola, Indiana, and will continue on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., at the church.
Funeral services for Phyllis will begin at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at the church, with Pastor Roger Dilley officiating.
Interment will follow at Hamilton Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 E. Church St., Hamilton, Indiana.
