ANGOLA - Richard C. Klink, 84, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at home, with his family by his side.
He was born on Nov. 26, 1940, on the family farm in Hudson, Indiana, to Wayne and Lilly Mae (Feeney) Klink.
Richard honorably served his country for three years in the United States Army.
He married Janet Hanna on March 19, 1967, in Ashley, Indiana. Jan resides in Angola.
Early on, Richard bought a dump truck and hauled on his own for several years before buying a gravel pit in Angola in 1979. He owned and operated Richard Klink Sand and Gravel before retiring in 1997. Even after retirement, he screened topsoil and continued to haul with his one-ton dump truck for several years. He was never one to sit for long, he always had to "be on the move."
He enjoyed collecting old cars and Cushman scooters, restoring old tractors, riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, mowing his grass and keeping his property in top shape. Most important to Richard was spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with and attending the activities of his two granddaughters, Janna and Jaelyn. They were his pride and joy.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jan Klink, of Angola; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeff Fee, of Angola; two granddaughters, Janna Fee and Jaelyn Fee; sisters, Linda Buss Perkins, of Wolcottville, Ruth Ann Rowlison, of Kendallville and Lilly Till, of Fort Wayne; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Marilyn Klink, of Wolcottville and Kelly and Tammy Klink, of Angola; brother-in-law, Ark Rinehart, of Ashley; sisters-in-law, Carol Klink, of Pleasant Lake and Sallie Klink, of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
