Sally Dingley Obituary

WATERLOO — Sally A. (Garrett) Dingley, of Waterloo and formerly of Dillon, Montana, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at DeKalb Health in Auburn.
She was born Aug. 16, 1936, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Harry and Dorothy (Coleman) Garrett.
She was a retired author for Harlequin Romance and also owned and operated a publishing company called Unconventional Press in Dillon, Montana.
She was a member of the DeKalb County Historical Society.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Bible of Fort Wayne, Chris and Amy Bible of Auburn, and Garrett and Yanna Bible of Stuart, Florida; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Dan Garrett and his wife of Georgia; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancy Garrett of Phoenix, Arizona, and Lane and George also of Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Montrose Dingley; and a son, David Bible.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn. There will be no service conducted.
Memorials are to the DeKalb County Humane Society.

I read all her books about 25 years ago, still have some of them. Her writing and stories got me interested into reading. For many years we exchanged letters at Christmas time, during the years she lived in Dillion. What a special lady she was to know through letters. I moved several times and lost contact.
