David Bunton Obituary

David Franklin Bunton Sr. 84, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at his home. He was born February 4, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Virginia and Frank Bunton. He graduated from Benton High School, and married Doris Gibson on November 28, 1959, and she survives of the home. He served in the United States Marine Corp. Dave worked in the concrete construction industry all his life, and most recently as a project superintendent with Baker Construction. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed his work. Dave was preceded in death by son, David Franklin Bunton Jr., his parents, and a brother, Roger Bunton. Survivors include: wife, Doris Bunton of the home, daughters, Julia (Chip) Littlewood, Terri Conner, Tracy Kendall, and a brother, Dallas Bunton, and a sister, Debbie Richardson, 10 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Hugger officiating. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
