Edith Cook Obituary
Edith was born in St. Joseph to Lee & Marjorie (Dougherty) Jordan. She graduated from Agency High School. Edith worked as a secretary, then married Richard Cook in St. Joseph on February 11, 1950. Richard preceded her in death on April 8, 2016.
Edith is survived by two daughters: Margaret Augustine and Nancy Shepherd (Stephen). Two grandchildren; Matthew Shepherd and Jennifer Brown; three great grandchildren: Averi, Maddie, and Noah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Edith is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four brothers.
Edith's service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel at 2:00 pm. The visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Agency, Missouri.

We were blessed growing up across the street from Aunt Edith and Uncle Dick, cousins Margaret and Nancy. Many, many great memories. I truly enjoyed my many conversations with Edith the last several years. I learned much about the family from her and enjoyed reminiscing and discussing current events with her. She will be sorely missed.
