Kimberly Ann Cook, 58, of Lorain, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Lorain, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after a long illness. Kim was born on April 15, 1967 at Elyria Memorial Hospital to the late Preston “Jim” Cook and Dorothy L. Cook. She was a 1985 graduate of Midview High School.
Kim worked for Elyria Savings and Trust National Bank, Rieth Realty, and Third Federal Savings and Loan. She loved animals and had birds, cats, and a dog over the years.
Kim is survived by her brother, James “Jim” (Doris) Cook, of Wellington, OH, and her sister, Kathy Hissom, of Chippewa Lake, OH; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Melissa Powless) Cook, Kyle (Erinn Anderson) Cook, Rachel (Nathan) Joppeck, Ashley (Chris) Vidika, Tyler (fiancé Courtney Markiewitz) Hissom, and Travis Hissom; great nephews and nieces, Maddox Joppeck, Jayden Vidika, Carter Cook, Addyson Joppeck, and Brinley Vidika. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston “Jim” Cook and Dorothy Cook and brother-in-law, Jay Hissom.
